24th june will be a farewell ceremony for our outgoing CO, LTA Loy Xing Jian. The ceremony will commence at 1000 sharp.

Attire will be No.3.

Regarding the selection for sea com, it will be CANCELLED.

25th June will be the selection for sea com, kayak segement. All interested parties will have to make their own way to Jurong Lake by 0900 hrs. For Part A who do not know how to go, please inform any part C and ask them to bring you there. Latecomers will automatically be denied the chance. The selection will be for part A and B. Selection for Part C will be on a separate date.

For part A, only those with 1 STAR kayaking certificate are allowed to come down for the slection.

The selection will be carried out by phase. Phase 1 will be single and phase 2 will be double.
For those who are interested in doubles, please find a partner in the same level, meaning part A find Part A etc.

Also, please pack your own lunch on that day.

In addition, the dragon boat training will be CANCELLED on that day due to majority of the team having to attend NCC DAY PARADE REHEARSAL.

a few things, firstly, the weekdays training in the holidays, ie: 31 may, 2 june, 7 june, 9 june will be conducted in school, no longer at the stadium.

next, those inside the team will now face a food ban. meaning, you cannot patronise fast food restaurant anymore, no more BBH, no more sweet and fried stuff. every training, there will be a test to see if your have cheated.

the chinese new year is around the corner, when you start to indulge yourselves in the food and goodies, dont forget after the chinese new year, you have a test which will decide whether you can have early dismissals on fridays. It is none other than the IPPT )individual physical proficiency test) or in your context it is better known as the napfa test.

the part A and B will have your IPPT on 16th feb, the very wed after chi new year, together with 7 part Ds. the remaining part D adn D1 will be the marshallers or testers on that day and will take you IPPT with the part C on the friday 18th FEB.

the 7 part Ds are:

the warm up session will start at 3pm and the actual test will commence at 3.15 pm. I suppose the 2.4km run/jog will commence at 4.15 to 4.30pm. PLEASE BRING ALONG YOUR WATER BOTTLE NA DHAVE YOUR LUNCH BEFORE COMING FOR CCA ON THAT DAY.

Since the part D and D1 are all involved, the part c need not attend cca on that day, but i suppose the FSD team may want to discuss further on your competition. i will ask CO to issue letter for you all so that you will not be stopped by the security guard.

hq ncc chairman change of command parade 2011

dear cadets,

on 25th Jan 2011, there will be a change of command parade for our outgoing ncc chairman Dr Arthur Beng.

District commander, Cpt Chia, has informed CO about this, and he wanted a total of 40 cadets to represent sea district in the GUARD OF HONOUR CONINGENT. As this is an HQ event, i have come up with the list personally. It's under review from the council as well as the CO himself, so the list will be put up some days later.

This is a gentle reminder, the parade is a solemn parade, so i will observe your attitude and performance. this selection is based on attitude and performance, so it does not mean all part D are selected. All decisions is final, any disagreement, you can speak to CO personally.

The sequence of event, if i'm not mistaken, its a full day rehearsal 1 day prior to the parade, which is the rehearsal is on 24 Jan 2011. It will be a stay in event.

Another thing to note, once you agree to be in the contingent, please put your heart and soul in it. I'm no longer in service, but people will complain to the CLTs, so I do not wish to hear any negative commants from either matthew, junting or weixian, saying that our cadets discipline is screw up.

Remember, you are not only representing sea district, you are representing CCKSS NCC. Have pride, if you do not have, cultivate now, its a virtue.

Cadets are to report at the school's void deck at 1200 sharp in their school half-uniform. The duration of the lesson will be four hours long, ending at 1600.

Please note that i will be holding a supplementary lesson on the 28th of October (Next Thursday) for the Part B cadets. More information regarding the lesson will be released on the blog soon.

PS: The outcome of your promotion depends largely on your own efforts. Please start your revision on your own instead of relying on the lessons provided. If you have any queries or problems regarding the proficiency test, please do not hesitate to approach me or the rest of the Part Cs.

Dear Cadets:

The Mini-Orienteering Competition will be held tomorrow at the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Attendance for all cadets is compulsory, and cadets who are unable to do so must notify their respective Platoon Sergeants. Cadets without a valid reason for their absence will be severely dealt with.

Attire: Full No.4 Uniform
